The story takes place on the planet Elementros, which has unknown powers. The main character, Optimus Prime, follows his friend Megatron and lands on this planet. There, Optimus meets Lightlong, a giraffe-type Transformer who is an energy beast. According to Lightlong, the energy beasts that live on Elementros in the form of animals and dinosaurs have five elements of "element energy" hidden within them: fire, water, earth, nature, and lightning.
